House Rules

Damage

The cost of rectifying any damage or extra housework will be docked from the cautionary deposit. For example the damage to carpets and wooden floors by stiletto heels.

No smoking

Sugnall Hall is no-smoking inside, and there are smoke detectors throughout the building.

Jacuzzi

Please adhere to the guidance concerning the hot tub: these are detailed in the ‘Book of Knowledge’.

Noise and fireworks

We ask that loud noise is not created and definitely turned off at 10.00 pm.
Fireworks that may frighten farm animals, and Chinese lanterns that can cause them harm, are proscribed.

Dogs and other pets

Dogs (max. two) should be kept on ground floor level, and not allowed onto furniture or upstairs. You will find that there are many opportunities for walking dogs on lead in the garden and on walks around the estate. They may eat in the back kitchen (when not in use). Their sleeping accommodation can be provided by kennels, half a mile away, or (in summer) in kennels in a back yard behind the hall.

Children

For younger children we have a cot, an inflatable bed and a high chair. They are free to run around the garden where they will find many places of interest, including ‘The Little House’ which they may go into on request.
For older children, there are board games and televisions indoors.
